Child and Adolescent Therapy
Families come to me when they are stuck while trying to address a problem facing their child. Often, they have tried many things and don’t know what else to do. It is important that young people do not feel that they are “the problem”, and that they have allies/partners in working to address the problem. I have found time and again that given the space and support, young people often have amazing capacity to offer insight into their problems and develop solutions for their lives. I have worked with children and teenagers to address:
School stress and challenges
Anxiety and depression
Difficulties with peer relationships
Emotional or behavioural difficulties
Suicidality and self-harm
Exploring identity
